In May 2009 the M.U.M.'s Breast Feeding Peers Supporters received a lottery Awards for All grant to contribute towards promotion, equipment, training and activities for breast feeding support in North East Derbyshire.

Since May 2009, women who wish to donate excess breast milk and have had the associated blood test may now send their excess milk to the Huddersfield Neonatal Unit at the Calderdale Royal hospital.

Caroline Bond one of the M.U.M.'s volunteer Breast Feeding supporters does a milk run from Dronfield up to the hospital at Huddersfield approximately every 2 months.  For further information please see the article on donating.
